The following was posted on Facebook on May 21, 2015 by Committee Chairman Evelyn Powers

Come One Come All! Anyone reading this is invited to attend tonight's meeting of the 50th Anniversary Celebration Event Committee, at 7PM, at the Media Center, Bedford Senior High School. Barbara Black Long, Co-Chair, Class of 1967, is in charge of tonight's meeting. Barbie is a retired school teacher, so, no acting up! Please feel welcome to attend!

Listed below are the meeting notes of the May 21st meeting for the 50th Celebration Committee from Kelly Mohr which she posted on Facebook May 27, 2015, in which I was tagged by Kelly to make sure I received the message.

So, I am FINALLY sitting down to review my notes from the Bedford 50 years' alumni meeting. This is the one that is celebrating ALL Bedford alumni, from 1966 through 2015. If you would like to be a part of this, please go to the If You Grew Up in Bedford Township... page and join. Look for Evelyn Powers or Lisa McCaig (I may have misspelled this one).

Here are the meeting minutes:

Sept 25- Homecoming football game v Skyline- pre-tailgate party before hand. Michelle Reed- Mickey Rudolph and I are in charge of the tailgate party- any ideas or sponsors who are willing to help are MUCH appreciated- PM me or tag yourself below if you would like me to contact you regarding this event.

Former band members: BYOI if you would like to play in the marching band with the current group during half time. You will likely need to provide your own instrument because at this time, they do not have many school ones that are not being used. Corey Meggit is the contact person for band. Darrel Walentowski - can you tag other band members?

Former choir members- On Saturday, Sept. 26th (afternoon), all past choir members are invited to sing during the open house. Mark Smith is in charge but Dave Parker will be putting together some rehearsal times. I will see if someone can tape this and we can send on to anyone who cannot make the rehearsals. Songs we will sing are: Let there be peace on earth, You’ll never walk alone, Battle Hymn of the Republic by Wilhowsky (this one is a special arrangement they use).

Choir members- Kimberly Alexander, Amy Alsip, Amy Tollner I don't have Amy T on this FB page of mine, I will tag from my other one! Kelly Kortas Mohr. Members- please tag others so they know. Rehearsal dates TBD,

For the football game on Friday, we talked about each decade having its own color of t shirt to try and wear- colors are NOT set in stone yet, stay tuned for updates on this. They will recognize each decade and we will stand as we are called.

If you have pictures you would like to add to a PPT that will be made (one for each decade), please get them to Mike Smith (board member, class of 92) or Sandy (admin office). They can be prints or email.

We have red boxes set up in area businesses for donations. The donations will be used to cover the cost of advertising, mailings, banners, etc. and any other expenses accrued. We decided against a Go Fund Me account at this time.

I think that is all- I will post more as I have it. I will try to tag everyone I think is a Bedford grad, please forgive me if I forgot anyone- tag yourself so I know!

Class of 1965

Posted July 19, 2015

Hello Classmates:

Hopefully you received the previous email concerning our upcoming 50th Anniversary Reunion Celebration that will be held September 25th and 26th, 2015. We are re-sending the attachments that accompanied that email which include the invitation for the Saturday night dinner, Special Events, and the Golf Outing. It was brought to our attention that the phone number on the golf flyer was incorrect. The correct number is (419)350-2248. That has been corrected on the attachment for golf that accompanies this email.

There have also been some questions about responding back to this email to let us know whether you plan to attend any of the planned events. We would like your immediate response to let us know your intentions. Right now we are just trying to get a feeling for how many people plan to attend. We are not asking for a firm commitment at this time.
There are specific deadlines to register for the dinner and also for golf, which are closer to the actual event.  We would like you to email us back at (mulescorral1965@gmail.com) and tell us:

1) if you/spouse plan to attend the dinner Saturday, September 26th
2) if you plan to attend the football game Friday, September 25th (tickets purchased at the game)
3) mixer at Sidelines Restaurant Friday, September 25th
4) golf outing- Friday, September 25th

It would also be helpful to us if you just let us know that you received this information. We don't want anyone to feel left out and we have no way of knowing that you received this email unless you let us know.

Please consult the links listed below for specific information on all planned events.

Also feel free to contact us by email (mulescorral1965@gmail.com) if you have any questions.

Best regards and thank you for your responses,

Class of 1965 Reunion Committee

Bedford grad of '67 Al Sulier also passed away following a long illness.

A gathering also followed the recent performance of William Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST Friday, April 17th at the Bedford Branch Library.  The reader's theater production was produced by Bedford alumni Deb J. Brescol of RSVP and '67 grad (John)Farnham Scott adapted and directed the play.  Attending were Bedford '67 grads (Barbara) Black Long, Fred Warren, and Kathy Moore.  The performance was given in celebration of Shakespeare's 445th birthday and was dedicated to the memories of Bedford teacher Carol Emptage Kwiatkowski and Bedford grad Nate Miller, popular local actor, who died suddenly in February.  This was the fourth Shakespeare celebration that Deb and I have collaborated upon.
